Parisian Dispatch from Rue de Bièvre

Greetings from Paris in the Spring! It’s a beautiful day to be dragging a 5kg IKEA bag of catacombs sand down the Boulevard Saint Germain. (Soon to be back in stock).

Today in the shop:

– a perilously drippy Bertillon ice cream

– an uptick in interest towards for our blowfish

– a woman complementing another woman on her sunflower earrings

– a customer who noticed a vintage bottle of perfume that her late mother used to wear on our shelf and took it as a sign that she was saying hello from beyond on her birthday.

– Back office prep for our summer window continues. Lots of pipe cleaner weaving involved (stay tuned)

– A fun delivery of naughty 19th century engraving. Can’t believe I found this actually. (More about the French golden age of the enema here if you’re curious).

– And one very fluffy Corgi waddling his way around the shop

Et voilà, our little window into small business life.

And with that, your 13 Things I Found on the Internet Today await with lots of good links.

Stay curious,
